My Music Rx is a new platform where you can find the usual iTunes store library and buy songs directly from it. But wait, for every song you buy through My Music RX, iTunes gives 5% of the money to the Children’s Cancer Association, it is as simple as that.

Apple partnering with this kind of association is a great opportunity for them to show consumers that they’re not the heartless monopolizing company they think they are. So yes, it is a great cause and good news, but keep in mind that it’s all about image, communication. Deep inside your unconscious, you’ll remember that Apple is giving money to the Children’s Cancer Association, therefore it’s a good company. I’m not telling you it’s not, but if you study the subject in depth, you won’t find any big industry leader not partnering with a cause. Everybody does it. So how could we say this one is better than another?

Anyway I encourage you to buy music on iTunes through this website, that would help a kid.

Cheers.
